With smart phones and Internet access, today’s kids face an onslaught of sexual imagery and misinformation that can distort and damage their sexual development. That’s why talking with our children about sex and sexuality is of great importance in today’s high-tech culture. And, although it is a notoriously difficult conversation for parents and kids alike, it’s important for our kids’ overall health and well-being.
Jill Halbert, Director of The Talk, brings 15 years of experience as a Sexuality Health Educator to an engaging seminar covering the importance of educating our children about sex and sexuality, along with practical advice and tools on how to do so. Parents will learn the why’s and how’s of having these important conversations and gain a better understanding of their own sexual values and how best to impart those values to their children.
*This is NOT CUSD curriculum, but is a class for parents who want to gain more communication skills in speaking with their children about this sensitive topic.
